St. Martin’s Lutheran School is seeking a passionate, mission-aligned 1st Grade Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. About the Role:
Join St Martins Evangelical Lutheran School as an Elementary School Educator for grades 1-4, where you will inspire young minds and foster a love for learning in a nurturing environment. We are passionate about providing a holistic education that integrates faith and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based elementary instruction that reflects our commitment to rebuilding a culture of academic excellence and deep learning in all core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) aligned with school curriculum and academic benchmarks.
- Contribute actively to a school-wide effort to strengthen instructional rigor, consistency, and student achievement.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and joyful classroom environment rooted in Christian values
- Use data to inform instruction and ensure all students are making measurable growth.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and administrators to support student learning and development.
- Embrace feedback, coaching, and collaboration as part of our shared work to grow a school of excellence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about academic progress and behavior
- Help cultivate a classroom culture that reflects faith, respect, perseverance, and joy in learning
- Promote a strong sense of community and Christian values within the classroom.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and classroom management strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
- Commitment to integrating faith-based principles into education.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Compensation: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
