The Director of Admissions is responsible for leading the full enrollment lifecycle (PK3–Grade 8), from initial inquiry through enrollment and re-enrollment, in order to drive sustainable growth and retention at St. Martin’s Lutheran School.
This role requires strong ownership of systems, consistent follow-through, and the ability to represent the school with professionalism, warmth, and clarity. The Director of Admissions serves as the primary driver of enrollment growth, ensuring that prospective families experience a responsive, organized, and mission-aligned admissions process.
This is a high-accountability, execution-focused role critical to the school’s continued rebuilding and long-term success.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective families from inquiry through enrollment
- Manage and maintain a centralized admissions system to track inquiries, tours, applications, acceptances, and enrollment decisions via Blackbaud CRM
- Develop and execute annual recruitment strategies focused on targeted growth grades
- Ensure all inquiries receive timely, professional follow-up and clear communication
- Track admissions data and trends to inform strategy and decision-making
- Lead the re-enrollment process for current families, including timelines, communications, and follow-up
- Maintain consistent communication with families to support retention and positive relationships
- Identify potential attrition risks and proactively support family engagement and retention
- Plan and execute admissions events including open houses, tours, information sessions, and new family orientation
- Ensure all event logistics are organized, professional, and aligned with school expectations
- Create a welcoming, structured, and positive experience for all prospective families
- Partner with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute outreach campaigns
- Support the creation of admissions materials, messaging, and communications
- Build and maintain relationships with local preschools, churches, and community organizations to increase referrals
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Enrollment Management and demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective admission strategies
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues
- Experience in Student Recruiting and fostering positive relationships with prospective families
- Exceptional Customer Service skills and a commitment to providing supportive and transparent assistance throughout the admissions process
- Familiarity with Student Financial Aid policies and practices, with the ability to provide guidance to families
- Strategic thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field highly preferred
- Experience in a similar role within an educational institution is a plus

Compensation: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
